Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Forgive me, but I detest chocolate covered strawberries with the green leafs and stems. If you are going as far as serving chocolate covered strawberries, they need to look good. Most of the time the leaves are just yucky looking. Simple solution. Cut off the tops! Dip your strawberries and then turn them upside down, then the ENTIRE strawberry is covered perfectly!
Tips:
Tips:
- Use quality dipping chocolate. This alone will make or break your strawberries.
- Stand the strawberry on cut edge after immediately dipping. This also allows the chocolate to run down the sides where you grabbed the strawberry.
- For the pretty squiggly lines, just use a sandwich bag filled with melted chocolate and snip the end.
- Serve uniformly and use a note card declaring your strawberries! They need an announcement! Your hard work deserves a title.
- Take pictures and preserve the moment of greatness!

Merry freaking sugar diabetic coma everyone
I have been merry mother Martha Stewart wanna be for years. It fits me well. My kids are grown, so instead of charging batteries and cleaning up wrapping paper Christmas morning, I turn to what I know best. Cooking. After a 4 day Christmas break from work and boredom from hell, I have accomplished fudge, Lemon cake ball cookies, lemon twice baked cookies, pecan pralines, something in that one jar AND homemade cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing.
Oh yeah, my wonderful hubby is a diabetic. You'd think I'm sitting on a huge insurance policy or something. I'm not. I just haven't changed. We are working on a lot of things there. It's the holidays anyway. The blurred vision will settle down after a day or two!
